Volver al pueblo (con wifi)
In a light-hearted crónica, a woman in her thirties explains why she left Madrid for her grandmother’s half-empty village in the hills of Soria. Her friends looked at her as if she were moving to Mars, but it was her grandmother who suggested putting the old school, closed for forty years, to use; today it is a tiny coworking space with three regulars and a surprisingly fast fibre connection. She does not romanticise depopulation — twenty-three residents in winter, a doctor once a week — but refuses to sit idle, and a visit from her grandmother shows her that, for the old woman, the strange thing was never her coming back but her leaving.
