A onça que apareceu no rio
On their third day at a river lodge near Poconé, a group gets up at five hoping to see a jaguar. While the boatman takes them slowly up the river they see caimans, jabiru storks and howler monkeys; by ten it is terribly hot and they nearly give up — then a jaguar that was sleeping in the shade on the bank gets up and swims across the river in front of the boat.
