El ámbar desaparecido

B2388 motsdetective short storySanto Domingo, República Dominicana — the Colonial ZoneÉcouter · bientôt disponible

On Monday morning a guard at a small amber museum in the Colonial Zone finds that a piece of amber with a trapped insect has disappeared. Inspector Marte and her assistant speculate: the thief will have come in through the skylight; it would have been around three when the alarm stopped; the lock was not forced, so whoever did it would have had keys; the cleaner must have seen something. A witness's statement and plaster dust from the restoration workshop lead them to the museum's own restorer, whom the police arrest that evening.
