Una carta de la abuela Pilar
Grandmother Pilar writes to her granddaughter Elena, who studies in Mexico: this morning she has found a box of old photos and has called Elena's mother; she remembers her childhood in a fishing village near Valencia: there was no television and in the evenings they listened to the radio, her father was a fisherman, the children played on the beach in the afternoons and helped in the vegetable garden, she was shy and her brother Paco was very naughty; life was hard, but they were happy; today the village is full of tourists.
