¿Cuál es la mejor arepa?
Venezuelan food blogger Mariela compares her arepas with those of her Colombian friend Santiago: his are thinner and eaten with butter and cheese, hers are thicker and stuffed — her favourite, the reina pepiada, has chicken and avocado; both are delicious but, for her, hers are the best in the world. Then a simple recipe: warm water, salt and pre-cooked maize flour; knead, shape, cook about ten minutes per side on a griddle and stuff.
