Turismo sí, pero no a cualquier precio
A Cartagena columnist rebuts a recent editorial that celebrated record tourist numbers: while it is true that tourism creates jobs, the profits stay with a few; however much the editorial insists, rents in the walled city have tripled and families have moved out; far from protecting heritage, uncontrolled cruise arrivals wear it down; once the new rules are approved, the city must reinvest the income. She proposes a visitor fee and a daily limit on cruise passengers.
